Tirupati: Spiritual fervour was all pervasive as Lord Malayappa Swamy stepped out of the Vahana mandapam riding the ‘Suryaprabha Vahanam' with none other than the Sun God himself as the Lord's charioteer on the 7th day morning of the ongoing Srivari annual Brahmotsavam at Tirumala on Tuesday morning. To bring new light into the world and to dispel the sins of His devotees, Lord Malayappa swamy majestically seated atop the glittering ‘Surya Prabha' vahanam entered the four mada streets even as thousands of devotees assembled around the main temple complex went into a spiritual rupture amidst the thunderous chants of the ‘Govindanamas'. There is a firm belief that ‘one is provided with a long life and is relieved of all illness' by taking part in the ‘Surya Prabha' vahanam and hence the procession attracted a huge turnout of devotees. Meanwhile, Lord Malayappa swamy bedecked in all his grandeur stepped out of the vahana mandapam atop the ‘Chandra Prabha' vahanam in the evening on Tuesday.According to the holy Hindu scripts, ‘Chandra or the Moon stands for promoting medicinal values among the living beings' and holds a great significance among the several processions held at Tirumala. It was a cynosure to the eyes of the devout watching the procession of the Lord atop the ‘Chandra Prabha' vahanam amidst the alluring breeze atop the hill shrine.TTD executive officer Anil Kumar Singhal, JEO V Veerabrahmam, CVSO KV Murali Krishna, Tirupati SP L Subbarayudu and thousands of devotees took part in the Brahmotsavam festivities at Tirumala on Thursday.
