'No forgiveness for him even if he climbs seven hills on his knees': TDP spokesperson slams Jagan ahead of the Tirupati temple visit

TDP spokesperson Kommareddy Pattabhi Ram criticized YSRCP chief YS Jagan Mohan Reddy over his visit to Lord Venkateswara Swamy temple, accusing him of an unforgivable sin. The controversy stems from Reddy's Christian faith and not signing a declaration of faith in Lord Balaji. Meanwhile, YSRCP refuted claims about adulterated prasadam and urged devotees to restore Tirumala's sanctity.
NEW DELHI: TDP spokesperson Kommareddy Pattabhi Ram criticized YSRCP chief YS Jagan Mohan Reddy for his upcoming visit to the Lord Venkateswara Swamy temple, accusing him of committing an "unforgivable sin." Ram stated, "Lord Balaji will not forgive him even if he climbs up the seven hills on his knees."
This controversy follows allegations by former Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister Chandrababu Naidu that substandard ingredients, including animal fat, were used in the preparation of Tirupati laddus during the previous YSRCP government. Ram emphasized the importance of signing a declaration for people of other religions before entering the temple.
Ram said, "You will not be allowed to go into the temple if you don't sign the declaration. We all know that you are a believer in Christianity which we don't have any problem with."
The TDP and other opposition parties have criticized Reddy for not signing this declaration in the past, with Naidu calling it a "spiritual breach."
"We respect all religions, but it is a custom that anyone from another religion must sign a declaration of faith before having darshan of Lord Balaji," Ram added.
In response, the YSRCP accused Naidu of spreading misinformation about Tirumala's laddu prasadam, saying it was adulterated with animal fat. The YSRCP urged devotees to join temple poojas on September 28 to restore Tirumala's sanctity.
YSRCP Chief YS Jagan Mohan Reddy responded on social media, urging people to stand against Naidu's claims. The YSRCP stated that the misinformation was politically motivated and hurt devotees' sentiments.
Meanwhile, the Tirumala Tirupati Devasthanams (TTD) clarified that rumors about tobacco pouches in the laddu prasadam are "untrue." According to the Chief Public Relations Officer, the laddus are prepared with strict adherence to traditions and under CCTV surveillance. The TTD urged devotees to disregard the misinformation.
