Lokesh urges TDP cadre to counter opposition allegations with facts
Vijayawada: Besides taking the developmental activities and the good work done by the NDA government to the people, TDP party cadre should focus on effectively countering the opposition's allegations, said Telugu Desam Party (TDP) national general secretary Nara Lokesh while speaking at the 11th batch cadre training session. Lokesh asked them to use data and facts to counter the false propaganda and sought enhanced coordination between alliance partners at the ground level. The training session was held for town, ward, and mandal-level presidents and general secretaries of the TDP. Lokesh said coordination within the party and adherence to its principles were essential for strengthening the organisation. He said leaders and workers should remain united and counter false campaigns with patience, irrespective of challenges. The objective should be to strengthen the party through consistent engagement with the public, he noted.Referring to the 2014-19 period, Lokesh said that the party failed to communicate with people, explaining the good work done, and suffered a lot by losing the election. He said leaders and workers should take the responsibility of explaining every initiative of the government to the public. He said door-to-door campaigns will help strengthen engagement at the grassroots level.
Stressing the importance of unity within the coalition, Lokesh highlighted harmony among alliance partners was necessary. He said attempts were being made to create divisions within the coalition but asserted that such efforts will not succeed. He asked leaders at the village level to work in coordination with coalition partners and avoid internal differences.Lokesh accused the previous YSRCP government of undermining the sanctity of the Tirumala Tirupati Devasthanams and misleading the public through misinformation. He said party workers had a responsibility to counter such claims with facts. He asked workers to report their service activities through the My TDP app and urged them to install the application. He said the training programmes will play a key role in strengthening the party organisation.
