Lokesh launches swift reconstruction of Kasinayana Annadana Kshetram

Vijayawada: Within hours of pledging to rebuild the Kasinayana Annadana Kshetram in Nallamala, HRD and IT Minister Nara Lokesh mobilised a special team to begin the reconstruction on Thursday. The team, consisting of party leaders appointed by Lokesh, visited the demolished site, finalised the reconstruction plans, hired local workers, cleared construction debris and launched the work on the structure. Panyam MLA Gowru Charitha Reddy expressed her gratitude to Lokesh for honouring the sentiments of devotees. "Our leader has shown that he is a man of action, not just words. Sincere thanks to Lokesh garu," Charitha Reddy posted on the social media platform X. Devotees have also praised Lokesh for his swift decision to restore the sheds of Kasinayana Ashram. "True trust and ethics aren't about publicity. It's about acknowledging mistakes, taking responsibility, and making corrective actions. Lokesh exemplified the highest values in public life," said Prabhakar Reddy, a devotee. Lokesh personally called the ashram's administrator, Jeeraiah Swami, to express his concern over the incident. He assured him that the ashram would be restored promptly and encouraged the administration to reach out to him directly for any future needs. Lokesh also promised to fund the rebuilding of the demolished sheds and secure the necessary forest clearances from the central government to ensure the ashram's operations wouldn't be hindered by the forest department. He emphasised that the department should have considered the sentiments of devotees before demolishing structures that have served the community for decades. Additionally, Lokesh pledged to arrange bus services from nearby towns to the ashram, which is located in the Nallamala forest.
