Lanka Dinakar presents one-year progress report to JP Nadda
VIJAYAWADA: Andhra Pradesh Twenty Point Programme Implementation Chairman and BJP National Council Member Lanka Dinakar met Union Health Minister and BJP National President J.P. Nadda at his residence in New Delhi recently. The meeting focused on Dinakar’s one-year review as Chairman, his district visits, and reports submitted to both the Central and State Governments.
Dinakar briefed Nadda on the extensive reviews he had undertaken across all 26 districts of Andhra Pradesh. He said he worked in close coordination with Collectors, departmental officers, MPs, MLAs, and other public representatives to assess the implementation of various Central and State-sponsored schemes. His reviews covered flagship programmes such as MNREGA, PMGSY, Jal Jeevan Mission, AMRUT, PMAY, PM SVANidhi, PM Vishwakarma, PMEGP, PM Krishi Sinchai Yojana, and Samagra Shiksha Abhiyan, among others.
In his report, Dinakar said that apart from district-level reviews, he also held consultations with senior State officers on poverty alleviation, MSME development, pollution control, organic farming, aspirational districts, and tourism promotion projects like Gandikota Fort. He also discussed the setting up of an SDG Centre for Andhra Pradesh and the progress of PM Vishwakarma and PM Dhan Dhanya Krishi Yojanas.
As part of his second-phase agenda, Dinakar said he will continue district visits focusing on the National Health Mission, education schemes such as PM SHRI, and aspirational district development. He also highlighted his participation in academic and industrial conferences in Andhra Pradesh, including events organized by the School of Planning and Architecture, Vijayawada, and the Vizag Development Council.
Dinakar informed Nadda about his study tours in Rajasthan to learn best practices in implementing Central Schemes. A similar visit to Uttar Pradesh has been proposed to study SDG-linked governance models.
He also proposed renaming the “Twenty Point Programme” to better align it with current governance priorities and the vision of “Viksit Bharat,” suggesting names such as PM Viksit Bharat Implementation Formula or PM Viksit Bharat Sadan Sutra.
Dinakar said the reform would integrate around 150 flagship Central schemes for better monitoring and SDG mapping. “This transformation is vital to create a strong brand image of Atmanirbhar Viksit Bharat,” he said.
