Jositha scores grand double

Vijayawada: Goli Jositha, a trainee at the NTR Municipal Stadium, scored a double as she bagged the Under-14 and Under-12 girls singles titles in the Guntur open tennis tournament at the B R Stadium tennis courts, Guntur on Sunday. In the U-12 final, Jositha defeated Sasi Priya 6-0 while in the U-14 final, she defeated Rupa 6-0. District Sports Authority Guntur chief coach P Muralidhar, SAAP chief convener S Durga Kumar, Dr Sriharasha, GGH presented the trophies and certificates to the winners.Tennis coaches Ahmed, Anand Kumar, Arun Kumar, Zakeer Hussian, M Venkata Rao, Nagoorvalli, Kumar were present.
Results (Final, girls): U-14: G Jositha bt Rupa 6-0. U-12: G Jositha bt Sasi Priya 6-0.
AP archer Venkatadri wins gold
Andhra Pradesh archer K Venkatadri bagged gold medal in the 50m compound event in the Khelo India Youth Games currently being held at Panchakula. M Surya Hamsa won the bronze medal in the 50m compound event in girls category. SAAP VC & MD congratulated both the archers.
