Jana Sena Party launches active membership registration programme in Mangalagiri
Vijayawada: The Jana Sena Party on Sunday launched its active membership registration programme at its central office in Mangalagiri. Party president Pawan Kalyan inaugurated the drive and enrolled himself as the first active member after contributing ₹2 crore towards the membership initiative.Addressing party leaders and workers, Pawan Kalyan said the programme aims to strengthen the organisational structure by encouraging committed individuals to actively participate in advancing the party's ideology and principles. He stated that the party introduced three categories under the active membership system.
Members who deeply understand the party's ideology and work in accordance with its principles and aspirations will be designated as ‘Udyami'. Those who actively strengthen the party's struggles, inspire the younger generation, and promote its ideals will be recognised as ‘Sadhak'. Individuals who provide indirect support through financial assistance, technical expertise, service, or intellectual contribution to the party's public and political activities will be classified as ‘Pradata'.Reviewing the party's growth, Pawan Kalyan said the Jana Sena Party was founded with 150 members. During the first phase of active membership in 2021, around 90,000 members were enrolled. The membership count increased to six lakh ahead of the elections and later reached 12.98 lakh after the polls. He noted that people from various sections of society, including small business owners, daily wage earners, and educated youth, joined the party.Senior leaders, including political affairs committee chairman Nadendla Manohar and other office-bearers, attended the programme, along with members who registered the highest enrolments in the previous drive.
