VIJAYAWADA: Chief Minister Y S Jagan Mohan Reddy on Monday met Governor Biswabhushan Harichandan at Raj Bhavan here and greeted him on his appointment as governor of Chhattisgarh.
The chief minister, along with his wife Bharathi, visited Raj Bhavan and met the governor couple. The chief minister felicitated the Governor couple with a shawl and garland.
Later, the chief minister said that Biswabhushan Harichandan had guided the state government during the Covid-19 crisis. The governor’s stint was mostly covered by those hard days of lockdown. Biswabhushan Harichandan served for three-and-half years.
The CM further said that the people of Andhra Pradesh will always remember governor Harichandan for his kindness. He said that he has received lot of affection, cooperation and guidance from the governor in the smooth functioning of the government and upkeep of the spirit of democracy.
Earlier on their arrival at Raj Bhavan, the CM and his wife were welcomed by joint secretary to the governor, PS Suryaprakash, deputy secretary Narayanaswamy, AP state planning board vice-chairman and MLA Malladi Vishnu, chief minister’s political secretary R Muthyala Raju, NTR district collector Dilli Rao, Vijayawada commissioner of police Kanti Rana Tata, deputy commissioner Vishal Gunni, and others.
