IRS officer Krishna Kishore suspended

He served as CEO of AP Economic Development Board (APEDB) during the Chandrababu Naidu’s regime and was known as the blue-eyed boy of Naidu.
The government also asked ACB director general and CID director general to book cases against Krishna Kishore and probe irregularities taken place when he was at the helm of affairs in APEDB.
Chief secretary Nilam Sawhney said the decision was taken a preliminary inquiry report from the industries and commerce department.
“After careful examination of the report, the government placed J Krishna Kishore, IRS, under suspension with immediate effect and he shall continue to be under suspension in public interest until the conclusion of disciplinary proceedings,” said the chief secretary.
She also directed director general, ACB and director general, CID to register a case in this regard and investigate into the irregularities. She directed the investigating agencies to take necessary action within six months.
The chief secretary asked Krishna Kishore to be in Amaravati till the order of suspension was in force and shall not leave the headquarters without obtaining prior permission of the competent authority.
Krishna Kishore was known as Naidu’s Man Friday in industry circles.
Krishna Kishore hailed from the family of legal luminaries as his father was retired HC judge Jasti Eswara Prasad and mother J Chamanti was a noted legal practitioner.
