Ignou to get permanent building

VIJAYAWADA: Water resources minister Devineni Uma Maheswara Rao said that efforts will be made to grant a permanent building for IGNOU, Vijayawada regional centre.
Speaking at the 28th annual convocation of the Indira Gandhi National Open University here on Saturday, the minister lauded the efforts of IGNOU in providing distance education. “The varsity has provided opportunity to several people who wanted to pursue education.If need be, we will try getting a permanent building for the study centre in this region,” he assured.
Later, he gave away the degrees to the graduates and congratulated them. Regional director of IGNOU, B Raja Gopal was also present.
