Homecoming for Amaravati NCLT bench after 3-yr wait

After a three-year-long wait, the Amaravati bench of the National Company Law Tribunal (NCLT) has finally become a reality. The NCLT has decided to shift its Amaravati bench from Hyderabad to Amaravati region.

Vijayawada: After a three-year-long wait, the Amaravati bench of the National Company Law Tribunal (NCLT) has finally become a reality. The NCLT has decided to shift its Amaravati bench from Hyderabad to Amaravati region.
Kamal Sultanpuri, incharge registrar of NCLT, on Saturday issued orders stating that Justice Ramalingam Sudhakar, president of NCLT, has directed that the NCLT, Amaravati bench, function for all purposes from Amaravati.

The fresh order is given suppressing the earlier order of October 10, 2021 continuing Amaravati bench in Hyderabad. Justice Telaprolu Rajani, member (judicial), is directed to continue to preside over the NCLT, Amaravati bench, till further orders.
The ministry of corporate affairs in 2019 sanctioned Amaravati bench along with Indore bench and directed the new bench to function at NCLT, Hyderabad. The Amaravati bench was supposed to move to the APIIC building at Mangalagiri in 2019. Officials made elaborate arrangements for the shifting. They also made structural and engineering works to the building. Later the proposal was postponed.
