Vijayawada: A court in Guntur directed prison authorities to provide special facilities to former minister Ambati Rambabu, who is currently lodged in Rajahmundry central jail, in accordance with jail rules applicable to special category prisoners. The order came after the court heard a petition filed by Ambati seeking certain facilities during his judicial remand. In his petition, the YSRCP leader requested permission to receive food, clothing, bedding, a pillow, a mosquito net, an air cooler, necessary medicines, and medical supervision from home. He also sought the allotment of a separate room, citing his status as a former minister and also due to health considerations.
