Farmer dies after bike plunges into well in Chittoor district

Tirupati: A 27-year-old man died after he accidentally fell into a well with his bike. This incident was reported near Chinna Kalikiri village in Penumuru mandal of Chittoor district. The deceased was identified as Sekhar, a resident of Chinna Kalikiri village. Sekhar went to water his farmland near Neeva river and was returning home when he accidentally skidded off the narrow pathway and fell into a well along with his bike. He sustained severe head injuries and died before he could be rescued from the well. Farmers who spotted Sekhar inside the well informed the police, who arrived at the spot later and helped in retrieving Sekhar's body. Penumuru police registered a case and shifted the body of the deceased for postmortem to the govt general hospital in Chittoor.
