P Veera Reddy, Vijayalakshmi, P Nagireddy and Prasanna couple performed special pujas before the ceremony.

Hundreds of devotees thronged the temple from the morning as it was considered to be auspicious to be present during the occasion. The temple priests said that anna prasadam served after the dhwajarohanam would bring prosperity and health to devotees.

They said that the couple who have been waiting for children would be blessed after accepting anna prasadam on the occasion.

After the completion of the ritual, the idols of Sri Venkateswara Swamy and Sri Devi were brought in procession in Surya Prabha vahanam to the temple complex.

The devotees paid darshan and offered prayers in the temple. Noted spiritual leader Murali Srinivasa Ayyangar addressed the devotees after the celebrations. Temple trustees PV Krishna Reddy and P Sudha expressed their joy over the successful completion of Dhwajarohanam.
