TIRUPATI:
Tirumala Tirupati Devasthanams additional executive officer, Ch Venkaiah Chowdary, stated that devotees with valid darshan tickets will only be allowed to visit Tirumala during the temple day Vaikunta Ekadasi festival between January 10-19.
Following a review of the ongoing arrangements for the Vaikunta Ekadasi festival held at Tirumala on Thursday, the TTD additional EO clarified that VIP break darshan on reference letters will remain suspended for the ten-day period.
"While the temple administration will facilitate darshan for the protocol VIPs on all the ten days, all forms of privilege darshan for infants, the elderly, physically challenged, etc., remain cancelled between January 10-19," Venkaiah Chowdary added.
The TTD additional EO also stated that no darshan arrangements would be made for the Govindamala devotees.
Meanwhile, TTD will maintain a buffer stock of 3.5 lakh additional laddus in addition to the daily average stock of 3.5 lakh laddus to cope with the anticipated surge in demand during the Vaikunta Ekadasi festival.
The TTD vigilance and security wing, in coordination with the Tirupati district police department, will coordinate the security arrangements during the ten-day festival.
