Deputy CM Kalyan expresses displeasure with Jana Sena leaders over silence on key issues

Vijayawada: Jana Sena Party chief K Pawan Kalyan expressed strong displeasure with party leaders during the general body meeting held on Monday. He took them to task over their public silence on key political issues.Referring to the Tirumala laddu issue, Kalyan questioned the party functionaries as to why none of them spoke despite the matter becoming a huge controversy. He asked why the party was not countering the campaign being carried out by the YSR Congress Party (YSRCP). He also questioned the role of Jana Sena MLAs, ministers and political affairs committee members for not taking responsibility. "If I have to speak on every issue, what is the role of others in the party?" he asked.
The deputy CM cautioned party leaders to remain alert to statements made by YSRCP leaders and advised them not to fall into what he described as political traps. He warned that remarks could be made targeting them and their family members, but the leaders should exercise caution and respond on ideological and subject-based lines only. He asked them to be extra careful in matters related to personal issues.Stating that the actions of some leaders were causing damage to the party, Kalyan said he had information on everyone's conduct. He asked Nadendla Manohar to submit a report on the course of action to be taken. The issue involving Railway Koduru Jana Sena MLA Arava Sridhar triggered political debate in Andhra Pradesh. Allegations of harassment made by a woman against the MLA, and the circulation of related videos, led to controversy.
