Create awareness about Human Rights to strengthen HRC: Andhra Pradesh governor

on Friday.

They submitted the annual report of the Commission for the year 2021-22 to the governor.

Governor Harichandan appreciated the functioning of the Andhra Pradesh Human Rights Commission and said that it is necessary to create awareness among the people about the human Rights as provided under the constitution. He observed that public awareness of human rights will strengthen the institution of Human Rights Commission (HRC).

(Non-Judicial), special chief secretary to the governor R.P. Sisodia, APHRC Secretary S.V. Ramana Murthy, were also present on the occasion.

Governor had also released the book titled “Combating Corruption in India–Role of Anti-corruption Agencies” written by HRC member Dr Srinivasa Rao.

Earlier, the delegation of Andhra Pradesh HRC led by chairman Mandhatha Seetha Rama Murthy met the chief Minister YS Jagan Mohan Reddy and presented HRC 2021-22 annual report at camp office.
