Vijayawada: Buoyed after pushing the ruling BJP to a corner on the Special Status Category (SCS) issue by moving a private member bill in Rajya Sabha, the Congress party is making serious attempts to revive the party's fortunes in the state.

Besides planning AICC vice-president Rahul Gandhi's visit to the agency area of Visakhapatnam, the party has lined up a slew of programmes in the state.

Ahead of taking up a series of protest programmes against the 'anti-people' policies of TDP-NDA governments, Andhra Pradesh Congress Committee (APCC) president N Raghuveera Reddy appointed in-charges to all the districts in the state.

Every district would be coordinated by three senior leaders as in-charges. APCC president asked the newly-appointed in-charges to visit their respective districts and convene meetings with the district committees.

Vizianagaram: Killi Kriparani, Viswaprasada Rao, Meesala Rajeswara Rao, Visakhapatnam: Vatti Vasanth, SN Raja, Killi Rammohan Rao, East Godavari : JD Seelam, Pakkala Suribabu, Venkateswara Reddy, West Godavari: Panabaka Lakshmi, Naraharisetti Narasimha Rao, R Swamy Naidu. Krishna: MM Pallam Raju, Mastan Vali, K Ramadevi. Guntur: K Bapiraju, N Rajiv Rathan, MV Sivaramakrishna. Prakasam: Devineni Nehru, C Devakumar Reddy, Akula Srinivasa Kumar. Nellore: B Chengala Rayudu, Mopidevi Srinivasa Rao, M Rathna Kumar. Chittoor: S Sailajanath, Martin Luther, TD Nagaraja Reddy. Kadapa: Kasu Krishna Reddy, M Shajahan Basha, Chenchal Babu Yadav, Kurnool: N Tulasi Reddy, J Prabhakar, SA Sattar, Ananthapur: KJ Suryaprakash Reddy, K Ravichandra Reddy, Abdul Waheed.
