CM vows to reintroduce volunteer system in AP

Vijayawada: Chief minister YS Jagan Mohan Reddy on Saturday cautioned the people against the ‘false’ promises of TDP chief N Chandrababu Naidu. He also told them that Chandrababu Naidu is leading a false and misleading campaign on Land Titling Act. Jagan addressed election meetings at Hindupur, Palamaneru and Nellore city on the day where he told the people that Naidu is going all out with false promises coupled with a bunch of lies. He said Naidu had promised total loan waiver to the farmers, the weavers and the self-help group women in 2014 general election. However, after coming to power, Naidu dumped the party manifesto and did not implement even a single promise. He brought scale of finance and waived just 1.5 crore to the farmers. He completely ignored the weavers and the women, Jagan said. The YSRCP leader also said Naidu had promised jobs for youth and stipend for the unemployed youth. He did not pay the stipend till the fifth year, he said, and asserted Naidu always betrays people after the election. Now, he has come with super six promises, Jagan said, and added Naidu would not implement even a single promise out of the six. Jagan promised to reintroduce the volunteer system once his government is formed in the state. He said the TDP leaders have petitioned the election commission against the volunteers because of which the aged and others were going to the village secretariat for pensions for the past two months. He said the TDP government between 2014 and 2019 had looted the state and shared with Jana Sena chief Pawan Kalyan and three media houses. They are now trying to capture power and loot the state once again, he alleged. He also told the people that the TDP government would withdraw all cash benefit schemes of his government if they vote the party to power. Jagan wanted the people to vote for the YSRCP in the coming elections and ensure that the cash transfer schemes are protected and continued.
