Vijayawada: Welcoming the AP state budget 2026, CII AP Chairman Murali Krishna Gannamani described it as a balanced approach between welfare commitments and long-term development priorities, reflecting an inclusive growth strategy.
He further added that the budget creates a positive ecosystem for industry through infrastructure development, logistics strengthening, and regional economic clusters. The allocation of Rs 28,000 crore for the Visakhapatnam Economic Region, covering multiple north coastal districts, would transform North Andhra into a major industrial, IT, maritime, and services growth corridor.

CII AP Vice Chairman S Narendra Kumar said that the budget attempted to balance capital development with large-scale welfare spending, positioning both as parallel growth drivers for the state. The allocation signalled a renewed commitment to reviving Amaravati as the primary capital growth engine. Capital expenditure was used as an investment multiplier to attract private investment, services sector growth, and employment generation.
CII Vijayawada chairperson Dr V Nagalakshmi lauded the govt for giving a substantial allotment of Rs 19,306 crores for the health sector. She stated that healthcare continued to remain a core social sector priority, forming a major component of the state's welfare and human development strategy.
The budgetary allocation reinforced the govt's commitment to accessible and affordable healthcare through sustained investments in medical infrastructure, primary healthcare, and human resources. The enhanced allocation supported improved service delivery and strengthened the state's public health ecosystem, she said.
