Both drivers killed as trucks collide in Annamayya district

Tirupati: Two persons, both drivers of the two trucks, died when their vehicles collided near Tanamitta in Kurabalakota mandal of Annamayya dist in the early hours of Friday. According to Madanapalle police, a truck laden with granite heading to Rajahmundry from Bengaluru rammed into a truck coming from the opposite direction near Tanamitta at around 3.30 am. The impact of the collision was so severe that the bodies of both drivers were stuck in the wrangled remains of the vehicles. Madanapalle police rushed to the spot and retrieved both bodies with the help of an earth mover.
