Bill Gates to review key projects in AP
Vijayawada: Microsoft cofounder and founder-chairman of the Gates Foundation, Bill Gates, will visit Andhra Pradesh on February 16. Gates will review projects being implemented with the foundation's support and discuss options for expanding ongoing collaboration. Chief minister N Chandrababu Naidu, deputy chief minister Pawan Kalyan and IT minister Nara Lokesh will meet the delegation led by Gates.The Sanjeevani project, which the state is running in partnership with the Gates Foundation, is among the priority items listed for the presentation. Officials said the govt will outline technology-led diagnostic services and the med-tech initiatives taken up across departments.

Gates will also visit the Real-Time Governance State Centre (RTGS) to see how technology is being used in state administration. The chief minister will explain the real-time governance systems, data-driven monitoring mechanisms, and the results achieved through them.Senior officials from multiple departments will join the meeting, where the govt will also present details of Swarna Andhra Vision 2047 and reforms brought in public health, agriculture and education.Following the discussions, Gates and his team will travel to an agricultural field near Undavalli in Amaravati. The delegation will observe demonstrations on the use of drones and AI-based tools in farm operations.
