B.Tech student stabbed to death
KADAPA: In a shocking incident, a B.Tech
According to the police, Somu Sai was allegedly murdered by S Vamsi Krishna (18), a first year civil cngineering student and his friend S Sai Kumar (19), a second year student of the same department.
Rajampet CI M Yugandar said it all started with Vamsi Krishna hitting Somu Sai during a dance programme at the college festival. An irate Somu Sai entered into an argument and thrashed him in front of everyone after Vamsi Krishna refused to apologise to him. The incident divided the students into two groups and both the groups had clashed in the past one week.
On Monday night, Vamsi Krishna and his friend Sai Kumar went to Somu Sai’s house and took him to a place near the Rajampet railway station under the pretext of settling the issue. Later, they repeatedly stabbed him before fleeing the scene.
The locals, who saw Somu Sai lie in a pool of blood, informed the police who arrived at the scene and rushed him to the Rajampet government hospital where he was declared brought dead.
The police registered a case under Section 302 of IPC (Murder) against Vamsi Krishna and Sai Kumar. They are at large and police teams have fanned out to various places to search for them.
