Assam allots 10 acres for first TTD Balaji temple in Northeast

Tirupati: The Assam govt has completed the process of registering a 10 acres of plot in favour of the Tirumala Tirupati Devasthanams (TTD), to establish the Tirupati trust’s first-ever Balaji mandir in the northeast.Confirming the development to TOI, TTD chairman B R Naidu stated that the process of registration of the 10 acre plot was completed and that the Tirupati trust had also taken over the possession of the land located near Amerigog village in Panbari Mouza of Kamrup Mahanagar district in Assam on Tuesday.Following the directions of Andhra Pradesh chief minister Nara Chandrababu Naidu to the Tirupati trust to establish at least one replica Tirupati Balaji temple in every state and Union territory across the country, TTD chairman B R Naidu met Assam chief minister Himanta Biswa Sarma at Guwahati in Aug last year, to take forward the TTD’s proposals to establish the first-ever Balaji mandir in Assam.“After an extremely positive response from the Assam CM, a 10 acre plot right on a panoramic valley located between the two northeastern states of Assam and Arunachal Pradesh was finalised. Today, the Assam govt has completed the process of registering the land in favour of TTD and we will soon initiate the next crucial step of laying the foundation stone for the construction of a mega Balaji temple after holding due consultations with the Assam and Andhra Pradesh governments”, B R Naidu asserted.TTD management firmly believes that Given the spiritual significance of Maa Kamakhya temple at Assam, the establishment of Lord Venkateswara Swamy temple in Assam, will immensely benefit the devotees of north-eastern India who cannot frequent to the Lord Balaji shrine located at Tirumala in Andhra Pradesh.
