Vijayawada: The Andhra Pradesh State Road Transport Corporation (
APSRTC) received the "PSE Technology & Innovation Award – 2026," recognising its adoption of digital systems and improvements in service efficiency.
The award was presented during the India PSE Summit 2026 held in Hyderabad on April 24 and 25. The summit brought together public sector enterprises from across the country and highlighted developments in technology adoption, operational performance and service delivery.
According to officials, APSRTC was selected for its work in strengthening digital services, particularly through its unified communications division. The corporation has been implementing technology-driven solutions to streamline internal operations and improve passenger-related services.
The award was received by Y Srinivasa Rao, chief engineer (IT), on behalf of N Bala Subramanyam, vice chairman and managing director of APSRTC. It was presented by P Srikanth during the ceremony held as part of the summit proceedings.
The India PSE Summit serves as a platform for public sector organisations to present initiatives related to digital transformation and to exchange operational practices.
Representatives from various govt bodies and industry sectors participated in the event.
APSRTC officials stated that the corporation has been focusing on integrating modern technology into its services, including communication systems and digital platforms aimed at improving coordination and efficiency. The recognition places APSRTC among public sector units that have implemented technology-led initiatives in recent years.
The corporation previously received awards in different categories related to operations and service delivery.
