TIRUPATI: Chief minister YS Jagan Mohan Reddy, governor Biswa Bhushan Harichandan and a group of elected representatives from Chittoor district greeted President Ramnath Kovind on his arrival at Chippili near Madanapalle on Sunday.
The President inaugurated Bharat Yoga Vidya Kendra’s yogashala at Satsang Foundation ashram near Madanapalle in Chittoor district.
Kovind interacted with students of yoga teacher training programme at the ashram. During his interaction with the students, Kovind said Kriya yoga was a holistic discipline for the elevation of mind and body.
“Yoga will always be of great help in meeting daily challenges in all spheres and to explore deeper aspects of consciousness. It is impressive that students from across the country have come here to this ashram at Madanapalle for the course,” said Kovind.
After planting a peepal tree, Kovind unveiled the foundation stone for Swaasthya hospitals, a 38-bed hospital.
