Andhra Pradesh: Woman, baby killed in road accident at Chandragiri

TIRUPATI: A 32-year-old woman and her 13-month-old daughter were killed after the bike she was riding pillion was hit by a speeding tractor near Chandragiri in Chittoor district on Sunday.
According to Chandragiri police, Muni Tejovathi (32) was holding her baby girl Muni Kundana while her brother was riding the bike. They were going to Narayanavanam from Chandragiri.
When they were reached near Otteri in Chandragiri mandal, a speeding tractor rammed into their bike and ran crushed the woman and her child killing them on the spot. The brother of the deceased did not suffer any injuries, police said.
Chandragiri police shifted the bodies to the local government hospital for post-mortem. A case was registered in connection with the mishap and the driver of the tractor was taken into custody.
