TIRUPATI: In a delight for common devotees eager to avail
VIP break darshan
without any recommendation,
Tirumala Tirupati Devasthanams resumed issuance of
Srivani trust
linked VIP break darshan at the sacred abode of Lord Venkateswara at Tirumala.
It may be recalled that the TTD had suspended
pilgrim worship
at the
Tirumala
temple on March 21 owing to the nationwide lockdown on account of Covid-19. Various arjitha sevas and VIP break darshans were also suspended then.
Though TTD resumed VIP break darshans after pilgrim worship resumed at the Tirumala temple from June 11, it was strictly restricted only to protocol. Following the popularity gained by Srivani trust linked VIP break darshan among the devotees, TTD administration resumed issuance of VIP break darshan linked to the donation scheme from Tuesday.
TTD had introduced Srivani trust linked VIP break darshan at the Tirumala temple in October last year. Every devotee who donates Rs 10,000 to Srivani trust is extended the privilege to avail one VIP break darshan ticket by paying the ticket price of Rs 500. No recommendation is required for devotees to avail VIP break darshan under the Srivani trust scheme.
But, owing to social distancing and other Covid-19 protocols in vogue, TTD will issue only a limited number of tickets under the Srivani trust donation scheme, and the quota is expected to be reviewed by the top brass of the TTD from time to time.
