Andhra Pradesh: Red Cross state treasurer GYN Babu passes away

Society (IRCS) state treasurer and educationist,

GYN Babu

passed away while undergoing treatment in a private hospital in Hyderabad in the early hours of Thursday. He was 57.

Babu had been suffering with some

chronic liver complication

for some time which believed to have been diagnosed in the advanced stage. He was rushed to the private hospital in Hyderabad last fortnight but breathed his last in the early hours.

Babu held several prestigious positions in different organisations including the in-charge secretary of IRCS. He has been secretary of renowned educational institutions group Hindu high school committee for the past two decades. He was managing committee member of all the educational institutions led by Hindu college management. "It is shocking that we have lost a committed social worker and philanthropist," said district collector and IRCS chairman Samuel Anand Kumar while paying tributes. . Hindu high schools committee chairman Gabbita Sivarama Prasad, secretary Cheruvu Ramakrishna Murthy, Jupudi Rangaraju, Abbaraju Rajasekhar, SVS Lakshminarayana, IRCS vice-chairman P Ramachandra Raju, RK Paramahamsa, Ramesh Gandhi, Dr DN Dixit condoled the death of Babu.

State governor Biswa Bhushan Harichandan had expressed shock over the untimely death of Babu. He said that Babu had extended invaluable service to IRCS as state treasurer.
