TIRUPATI: BJP spokesperson G Bhanu Prakash Reddy has been named in the TTD board members list, which was officially released by the govt on Friday. The new TTD trust board now has 29 members, with media baron Bollineni Rajagopal Naidu appointed as the chairman. Besides 25 non-officials, executive officer of TTD, secretary to the govt, have also been nominated to the trust board as per convention.

Earlier, Andhra Pradesh govt constituted the new Tirumala Tirupati Devasthanams trust board on Wednesday. Prominent vernacular television news channel chairman Bollineni Rajagopal Naidu, a native of Chittoor district, was appointed as the new TTD chairman.

While several aspirants reportedly intensified their lobbying for the coveted TTD chairmanship, chief minister Nara Chandrababu Naidu made the final decision in nominating BR Naidu as the new TTD chairman.

Other prominent members in the trust board include former Chief justice of India and former chairman of the national human rights commission HL Dattu and Bharath Biotech founder Dr Suchitra Ella.

Two prominent figures who were nominated to the TTD trust board during the erstwhile YSRCP regime and have once again made it to the new TTD trust board constituted by the TDP govt are Krishnamurthy (Tamil Nadu) and Saurabh H Bora (Maharashtra).

Other members nominated to the TTD trust board include Narsi Reddy, Sambasiva Rao (Jasthi Shiva), Sadasivam Rao Nannapaneni, Koteshwar Rao, Mallela Rajasekhar Goud, RN Darshan, Shantaram, P Ramoorthy, Janaki Devi Thammisetty, Boogunooru Mahender Reddy, Anugolu Rangasri, Buragapu Ananda Sai, Naresh Kumar and Dr Adit Desai.Dr Adit Desai is the second Gujrati to be appointed to the TTD trust board.

His father Dr Ketan Desai, former MCI chief who faced charges of financial fraud and irregularities, was the first Gujrati to be appointed to the TTD trust board during the YSRCP regime in 2021.
