TIRUPATI: Police arrested a man holding him responsible for the death of his father-in-law, and his two daughters in
Kadapa district
on Sunday.
It may be recalled that 55-year-old Babu Reddy committed suicide by hanging himself to a tree near
Proddatur
in Kadapa district on Friday. Following his death, his elder daughter Swetha Reddy (26) and her sister Sai Reddy (21) also committed suicide on the railway tracks near
Tippaluru-Rayunipeta
in
Yerraguntla
mandal on Saturday.
Just minutes before his suicide, 55-year-old Babu Reddy shot a selfie video, in which he had alleged that his son-in-law
R Suresh Kumar Reddy
was harassing his elder daughter Swetha Reddy and his entire family, forcing him to commit suicide. Babu Reddy appealed to the authorities to arrest Suresh Kumar Reddy and punish him severely.
Following a complaint lodged by the relatives of the deceased family members, Proddatur police arrested R Suresh Kumar Reddy and sent him to remand. Local police said further investigation was going on.
