Visakhapatnam: Depressed over being branded a thief by the management of a resort, a 22-year-old youngster ended his life by consuming a harmful chemical at Amatam village of Bhogapuram mandal in Vizianagaram district. The deceased was identified as M Appala Naidu, a worker at a private resort in Ravivalasa.
The management of the resort admonished him over a customer's missing mobile phone a few days ago. Apparently disappointed with the series of events, Naidu consumed a harmful chemical at his home. A case was registered by the Bhogapuram police and investigation is on.
In another incident, a 24-year-old youngster identified as I Harikrishna ended his life by consuming poison near a local tank at Anandapuram locality of Nandigam mandal in Srikakulam district. The police said Harikrishna was a native of Vajrapukotturu mandal in the district and he made a phone call to his friend after consuming poison. Though the police shifted him to a hospital, he breathed his last while undergoing treatment in a hospital. A case has been registered and investigation is on to ascertain the exact reason that led him to end his life.
