Vijayawada: The Andhra Pradesh State Council of Higher Education (APSCHE) has completed all arrangements for the smooth conduct of AP ECET-2026, scheduled to be held on Thursday across Andhra Pradesh and Telangana.According to officials, a total of 33,751 candidates have registered for the Engineering Common Entrance Test this year, reflecting steady demand for lateral entry into engineering and pharmacy courses. The examination will be conducted in a computer-based test (CBT) format in two sessions — from 9 am to 12 noon and from 2 pm to 5 pm.Authorities have set up 95 examination centres, including one in Hyderabad and 94 centres spread across 47 towns in Andhra Pradesh, to ensure smooth and accessible conduct of the test. Entry into centres will begin at 7:30 am for the morning session and 12:30 pm for the afternoon session.Officials have issued strict guidelines, making it clear that candidates will not be allowed entry even a minute after the scheduled reporting time. Only essential documents, including the hall ticket, application form, valid photo ID and a ballpoint pen, will be permitted inside the examination hall. Candidates have been advised to reach their centres well in advance and follow all instructions carefully.The council expressed confidence in conducting the examination smoothly, with elaborate arrangements in place to ensure transparency, security and convenience for candidates across both states.
