3 killed in separate road crashes in north Andhra Pradesh
Visakhapatnam: Three people were killed in separate road accidents in north Andhra. In the first incident, an 18-year-old girl died, while her friend suffered severe injuries after their scooter hit a road divider near Akkireddypalem in Vizag. The deceased was identified as K Mahalakshmi, a native of Tuni of Kakinada district, and the injured girl is Ch Anusha. As per the reports, both were polytechnic diploma holders and interns at a PSU near Akkireddypalem. When the duo was travelling on a scooter, the rider lost control of it, hit a road divider and suffered severe injuries.In another incident, a youngster died on the spot after his bike was hit by a lorry near Singannapalem locality of Burjha mandal in Srikakulam district. The deceased was identified as K Jeevan Kumar. The police said the fatal accident occurred when Kumar was returning home from a medical store. He is survived by his wife and two children. Similarly, an elderly man, S Ramulu, was killed after he was hit by a tractor when he was crossing the road at Tirlangi of Tekkali mandal in Srikakulam district.
