Vijayawada: As many as 22 advocates practising at Andhra Pradesh high court have been designated as senior advocates. The high court issued a notification on Friday with the list of advocates.
According to the notification issued by the high court, K S Gopalakrishnan, N Subba Rao, Ponnavolu Sudhakar Reddy, Challa Dhanamjaya, Amilineni Chaya Devi, C Raghu, K Srinivasa Murthy, Duba Venkata Nagarjuna Babu, Vijaya Kumar Motupalli, Kaligineedi Chidambaram, C B Ram Mohan Reddy, W B Srinivas, Gurram Peda Babu, G L V Ramana Murthy, Ravi Kondaveeti, P Girish Kumar, Mavidi Rama Rao, Posani Venkateswarlu, V Venugopala Rao, O Manohar Reddy, Yallapragada Srinivasa Murthy and M Ravindranath Reddy have been designated as senior advocates with effect from May 6.

The high court invited applications on September 24, 2019. In a recent meeting by the high court committee with advocates, it was decided to designate 22 advocates as senior counsels. This is the first time that this many advocates have been designated as senior counsel.
