2 from Karnataka killed in road accident in Chittoor district

Tirupati: Two persons from Mandya in Karnataka were killed in a road accident along the Tirupati-Bengaluru national highway near P Kothakota in Puthalapattu mandal in Chittoor district in the early hours on Sunday. A family of six members were heading to Tirumala on a pilgrimage when the incident took place. Their speeding car rammed into a truck from behind at very high speed, leaving two inmates in the car dead. The victims who lost their lives in the accident were identified as Satish (50) and Bhagya Lakshmi (45). Four others travelling in the car also sustained injuries, and they were rushed to the govt hospital in Chittoor by the police.
