VARANASI: While a woman and her three children burnt alive in a mysterious incident in Mirzapur, a quack also died in similar circumstances in Varanasi on Saturday morning.
According to reports, Anita Patel, a shiksha mitra at Basraraja primary school, lived in Chiruiram Khairahi village under Lalganj police station in Mirzapur district with her husband Jai Prakash and three children.

On Friday night, Jai Prakash left home for his relatives house.
On Saturday morning, villagers heard the cries of Anita and her children. When they reached her house, they found the door locked from inside while fumes were coming out from windows and chinks in door. Before the villagers could broke into the house and save them, Anita and her children -- Khushbu (7), Harsh (4) and Asmit (2) -- had died.
Receiving the information, Lalganj police as well as family members of Anita also arrived at the incident site. Police sent the bodies for postmortem. It could not become clear whether Anita had made a suicide bid after setting her children on fire or the fire was caused due to leakage in LPG cylinder. Police were waiting for the postmortem report to reach a conclusion.
Meanwhile, Ramesh Chandra Biswas alias Bengali, who dwelt in a rented house in Chamraha village under Cholapur police station, died after sustaining serious burn injuries at his house on Saturday morning. Reports stated that the wife of Ramesh along with son Akash had gone to Kolkata. On Saturday morning, Ramesh had gone to the school of her daughter Mamta (12) to drop her off. After coming back, he locked himself inside his house after which the incident occurred. Articles kept inside the house were also gutted. Police sent his body for postmortem. Ramesh ran a dispensary at Chamraha.

Man shot: Badu Yadav, aged around 65, was shot by his neighbours outside his house in Majui village under Sadat police station of Ghazipur district on Saturday morning.
According to reports, Badu was sitting outside his house on Saturday morning when his neighbours Ramesh and Rajendra Yadav raided the place and opened fire at him. Badu died on the spot while the assailants managed to escape.
Receiving the information of incident, police reached the incident site and sent the body for postmortem. During initial investigation it came to light Badu had some property dispute with Ramesh and Rajendra. A named FIR was lodged against Ramesh and Rajendra. No arrest was reported so far.
Two killed: Two persons were killed while one sustained serious injuries when two truck collided near Hazipur under Adalhaat police station in Mirzapur district on Saturday morning.
According to reports, two trucks coming from opposite directions collided at Hazipur. The driver of one truck, Vijay Yadav (28) and cleaner of other truck, Hariharpati Tripathi (22) died on the spot. One more driver, Dwarka Prasad was rushed to district hospital after sustaining serious injuries.
