Woman dies of burn injuries

VARANASI: A 20-year-old woman, Neelam Devi, was allegedly killed for dowry by her in-laws in Kurmi Tola in Azamgarh district. A case has been lodged against Neelam's husband, Vinod Gupta and others. According to reports, Neelam sustained serious burn injuries on Wednesday night and was admitted to the district hospital. Later, she succumbed to her injuries on Thursday.
Another woman, Geeta, who had also sustained burn injuries, died at the Azamgarh district hospital on Thursday. She was a native of Newada village under Kaptanganj police station.
