VARANASI: Cholapur police, on Tuesday, arrested an accused in a case of conversion. Acting on a tip-of, police arrested Santosh Kannojia, wanted under Section 3/5(1) of the Uttar Pradesh Prohibition of Unlawful Conversion of Religion Act, 2021, near Bela Bazar in Cholapur area.
Power dept staff to stage dharna: The power employees, under the banner of Vidyut Mazdoor Panchayat, Uttar Pradesh will start an indefinite dharna and demonstration from Wednesday in protest against non-payment of salaries of contract workers and computer operators for 6 months.

BHU organises online music conference: Under Ek Bharat Shreshtha Bharat and Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav, the BHU unit of NSS organised the 123rd episode of online national youth music conference on Tuesday. The programme started with a song in Chhattisgarhi language by Paridhi Sharma of Chhattisgarh.
She was followed by Tanya Singh Chauhan, who presented patriotic songs. Malini Keshav from Jodhpur presented a Sitar recital, while Dindo Oku from Arunachal Pradesh presented a traditional folk song.
