VARANASI: A youth in Diliya village under Kotwali police station of Ghazipur district brutally murdered his parents and sister by attacking them with an axe and fled the scene on Sunday. Police started the investigation after reaching the spot.Ghazipur SP Iraj Raja said that Diliya village native Shivram Yadav (65), his wife Jamuni Devi (60), and their daughter Kusum Devi (36) were murdered by his own son Abhay Yadav (40) by attacking them with an axe. After the incident, he managed to escape. The bodies were sent for postmortem examination. A property dispute surfaced as the reason behind the triple murder during the primary investigation. Teams have been engaged to nab Abhay at the earliest.Earlier, sensation prevailed in Diliya village in the morning when Shivram, his wife, and daughter started screaming after Abhay attacked them with an axe. Before the villagers could reach Shivram's house, his son fled the scene, leaving their bodies in a pool of blood. The villagers immediately reported the matter to the police.News of the triple murder brought the officials on their toes, and they also reached the spot. Following the collection of evidence from the scene by the forensic team, the bodies were sent for postmortem. Shivram’s relatives and villagers informed the police that a property dispute had emerged among his family members, especially between father and son, after Shivram transferred some property in the name of his daughter.Following this development, Abhay used to quarrel with his parents and sister. Officials formed three teams for Abhay’s arrest and expressed hope that he will soon be apprehended.
