Undertrial escapes for police custody

VARANASI: An undertrial, Manoj Kumar Yadav, fled from the police custody in Azamgarh on Monday. The police launched a manhunt to nab him.
According to reports, Manoj Kumar Yadav, a native of Sarainadi village under Tarwa police station in Azamgarh district, was lodged at the district jail of Azamgarh in December 2007. He was suffering from tuberculosis and thus admitted to the district hospital on June 18.
On Monday morning, he managed to flee from the hospital. The police immediately swung into action to nab him, but they were yet to get any breakthrough.
