VARANASI: Two persons, identified as Chhatthu Nishad and Kallu Nishad, were arrested for
sexually harassing and thrashing a minor girl
in a village under the limits of
Jafrabad police in Jaunpur district
. The two also made a video of their brutal act and posted it on
social media.
SP Jaunpur Vipin Kumar Singh, on Monday, said that both the accused were been arrested by Jafrabad police on Sunday night after lodging an FIR under section 376, 511, 323, 504 of IPC and 7/8 POCSO.
According to the police, on June 29 the girl had taken her goats for grazing in a field when Nishads thrashed and
sexually
harassed her. In the video made by them they can be seen spitting on her face, thrashing her and committing other brutalities. Later, the duo made this video viral on social media.
When the girl’s parents saw this video they contacted the gram pradhan following which the matter was reported to the Jafrabad police on Sunday. Taking a prompt action, the cops lodged an FIR and arrested the duo.
