A family conflict erupted last week in Hemapur Tarahathi, within the jurisdiction of Mungra Badshahpur police station, involving a local resident named Taufiq. His adversaries, including one Mujahid, lodged a police complaint against him, alleging assault and verbal abuse.
According to Taufiq's statement, police officers brought him from his residence to the station for interrogation regarding this complaint. He claimed that the station in-charge restrained him by tying him to a pole and subjected him to physical abuse with a belt for thirty minutes.
Following the assault, the victim lost consciousness. The station head's brutality continued as he struck the individual repeatedly with both wooden and plastic chairs. A bystander captured the violent incident on camera, which subsequently spread across social media platforms.
The 40-second footage caught the attention of senior authorities. Subsequently, Dilip Kumar Singh received the appointment as the new station head.
