Thousands brave cold at Kashi ghats for Mauni Amavasya snan

Varanasi: Thousands of devotees took holy dip in the Ganga on the auspicious occasion of Mauni Amavasya on Friday. Devotees, braving cold, started thronging the ghats from early morning hours. Important ghats including Dashashwmedh ghat, Panchaganga Ghat, Tulsi Ghat, Kedar Ghat, Assi Ghat witnessed huge gathering of devotees performing religious rituals on the auspicious day.In view of the large gathering of devotees, traffic restrictions were imposed on the roads leading to the ghats. Besides, parking arrangements were also made at different points including Company Bagh, Townhall, Sanatan Dharm Inter College.
