Manmohan Gunawad

, 35, a resident of Manpur and the first person to notice the defaced statue has registered a complaint with Manpur police against unidentified miscreants. Case has been registered under the sections pertaining to anti- national activities.

Gunawad and other residents have given one week time to the police for arresting the accused, failing which a dharna will be staged.

Police station in charge Rakesh Modi told TOI that the investigation is going on in the matter.
