VARANASI: A number of schools witnessed 100 per cent results in the Class 10 results of Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) that were announced on Friday.
While schools including Sunbeam, Lahartara, Varuna, Bhagwanpur, Dr Amrit Lal Ishrat Memorial Sunbeam School (DALIMSS), Sigra, Sunbeam Academy, Delhi Public School (DPS), Varanasi, St Atulanand Convent School, St Atulanand Residential Academy, Dayawati Modi Academy, Ramnagar, St Joseph, Sindhora, Little Flower House and Central Hindu Girls' School (BHU) achieved 100 per cent results, a number of students also secured more than 90 per cent marks from these schools.
Interestingly, girls outshone boys again in the city with Ankita Singh of Guru Nanak English School, Shivpur securing 97.8 per cent marks in these examinations.
Similarly, toppers from other schools included Kaushal Kothari (97.2 per cent) from Sunbeam School, Lahartara, Harsh Ranjan (96.8 per cent) from Sunbeam, Varuna, Smriti Agrawal (96.6 per cent) of Sunbeam, Bhagwanpur, Pulkit Jaiswal of DPS, Varanasi and Harshita Tiwari of CHS Girls School (BHU) getting 96.4 per cent each in these examinations.
Utkarsh Vij emerged as topper in Sunbeam Academy with 95.6 per cent marks and Ankur Goel secured similar marks to emerge as topper from St Atulanand Residential Academy. In addition, Dharini Maheshwari topped from Little Flower House securing 95 per cent marks while Vivek Rana and Gaurav Jaiswal emerged as joint toppers from DALIMSS, Sigra each getting 95 per cent marks in these examinations.
The other toppers from St Atulanand Convent School included Shardul Raghuvanshi (94.8 per cent) and Ankit Kumar Verma (92.4 per cent) of Dayawati Modi Academy, Ramnagar.
A number of these students also secured 100 per cent marks in individual subjects including Sanskrit, maths and social science in the city.
