The missing newborn male child was found in a nursing home at Deoria bypass in Khorabar on Tuesday night.The woman accused of stealing away the baby was arrested by the cops.

GORAKHPUR: The missing newborn male child was found in a nursing home at Deoria bypass in Khorabar on Tuesday night.
The woman accused of stealing away the baby was arrested by the cops. Police identified the accused woman as Mamta Yadav, wife of Lt Santosh Yadav, Khairkhoota under Jhangha police station. During interrogation Mamta told police that after stealing the baby from the medical college she reached her house at Jhangha but the child was continuously crying and when his condition deteriorated she rushed her to nursing home at Khorabar.

Police were able to trace the accused woman with the help of a bag found at Gynecology department in medical college. The bag contained a mobile phone, some addresses and names of a few people and a card with photographs of the woman and a girl.
The card was issued by the ART center for treatment of patients suffering from AIDS. With the help of the address written on the card, police reached at the woman's house in Jhangha and arrested her brother-in-law.
The woman told the police that her husband died three months ago due to AIDS and both, Mamta and her daughter, were also found to be HIV positive. "I stole the baby to provide a successor to the family," said Mamta. Police have handed over the baby to his family and registered a case against the woman.

Police arrest BJP MP, former state minister: Police arrested Kamlesh Paswan, MP, Bansgaon and Fateh Bahadur Singh, former state minister along with many demonstrators for blocking road from Bargadwa, Maniram who were on thir way to support the demonstration to be held by zila panchayat members on Wednesday.
While SP Singh alias Bhagwan Singh, member of ward number 19, Jitendra Singh, Surendra Singh, Ram Dhari Deena Devi along with hundreds of zila panchayat members were stopped by police at Transport Nagar cross road when they were going to stage a demonstration at Commissioner's office.
The huge crowd caused a massive traffic jam in the area. ADM (E) reached the spot to control the situation. The demonstrators later handed over a memorandum to ADM (E) and left the place.
The zila panchayat members, earlier, staged a demonstration at Commissioner Office against Apar Mukhya Adhikari, zila panchayat, from 12 June to 24 June and on 24 June they decided to sit on 'amaran anshan' but on June 25, police forcefully dispersed the demonstrators from the office campus. Police have registered a case against arrested demonstrators under IPC 104.
Body found under Mahesra Bridge: On Wednesday, body of a youth was spotted under Mahesra Bridge in wee hours. On getting the information police reached the spot and seized the body. The body was identified Soni Srivastav, 22, son of Anil Kumar Srivastav of Vikas Nagar, Gorakhnath. According to Anil Kumar, Soni was metally retarded and was under treatment. On Monday morning he went out the house when other family members were busy in their daily chores. Police have sent the body for postmortem.
Man hit by SUV, dies: Markandey Rai, 65, son of Lt Chandra Dev, a resident of Baltika under Rampur police station, Deoria, died on Tuesday night in medical college during treatment. On 25 evening, Markandey was going to Pharenda, Maharajganj on motorcycle. When he reached near Pipigand Police station in Gorakhpur district, a white SUV hit him from behind. He received serious injuries and was rushed to medical college by some passersby where he succumbed to his injuries on Tuesday night.
The deceased is survived by four sons and a daughter. He was a retired teacher in an Inter College at Pharenda, Maharajganj. Police has seized the SUV and has launched a search for the absconding driver.
Woman dies of burn injuries:
Chandramukhi Mishra, 22, wife of Shatrughan Mishra, 25, Rawat Pura, Belghat, died on Tuesday night in medical college during treatment. According to police, on June 25, Chandramukhi and Shatrughan were sleeping in their room in the night. An earthen lamp kept beside the bed fell on the sari of Chandramukhi. The flames quickly flared up her sari and fire also caught Shatrughan sleeping next to her. The other family members noticed dense smoke coming from the room after which they broke the door.
The couple was rushed to medical college where Chandramukhi succumbed to burn injuries while Shatrughan is still under treatment. Chandramukhi was brought to the hospital in 80% burnt condition while Shatrughan was 20% burnt.
The couple got married an year before. At the time of incident Shatrughan's parents and his two younger brothers were also present in the house.
