‘Small is beautiful’ proj to promote city vendors

Varanasi: Union ministry of micro,

small

and medium enterprises (MSME) is going to launch its demonstrative project ‘Small is Beautiful’ for the development and promotion of small businesses/street vendors for their business sustainability on March 14.

Deputy director in-charge of MSME Development Institute, VK Verma said that Union minister of state for MSME and animal husbandry, dairy and fisheries, Pratap Chandra Sarangi would launch the project at Kashi Vidyapeeth.

The MSME ministry has taken the new initiative for the well being of small business. Initially the project is to be launched on a limited scale in Varanasi with 100 vending carts and 10 barber kit sets for the registered street vendors of Sigra and Sarnath areas.
