On Monday night, three miscreants, on a bike, robbed Rs 60,000 from a shopkeeper when he was returning home from his shop.

GORAKHPUR: On Monday night, three miscreants, on a bike, robbed Rs 60,000 from a shopkeeper when he was returning home from his shop.
According to reports, Manjesh Vishvakarma, son of Ram Sajeevan, a resident of Takiya Tola, Kusmahi, runs a mobile shop at Motiram Adda, under Jhangha police station. He was returning home on his bike, after closing the shop on Monday night.

As soon as he reached near Shivpur village in Khorabar, three masked men on a bike intercepted him and took him at gun point. They then snatched away cash worth Rs 60,000 and a bag filled with vegetables and fled from the spot. Fortunately, the miscreants didn't notice his mobile kept in his pocket. Manjesh informed the police about the incident. Police reached the spot and started checking bikes in nearby areas. However, no trace of the miscreants was found till the time of writing report. Manjesh was carrying Rs 60,000 to buy scratch cards for his shop.
Minor accuses 27-yr-old man of rape
A 14-year-old girl was allegedly raped by a man of her village on September 8.
According to reports, Meena (14) (name changed), a resident of Banjari Tola, under Jhangha police station, and a student of Class VI in a school of her village, was taken by a woman, Kamla Devi, to Sardar Nagar on September 7 on the pretext of buying a dress for her.
Kamla made the girl hostage in a house in Sardar Nagar and on September 8, Ram Ashish, 27, Banjari Tola raped her. The victim somehow managed to escape from there. On reaching home she narrated the incident to her mother. On Tuesday, the victim's mother went to police station and filed a writ against Ram Ashish and Kamla Devi.
The victim's father had died a few years back and she lives with her mother who works as a labourer. Ram Ashish is a farmer and a father of two children.
