VARANASI: The Ramkatha
Mandakini Shobha Yatra will be carried out from Tulsi ghat to Rajghat on a bajda (big boat) on April 19. Talking to reporters on Wednesday, Govind Ram Bhargava, president, Ram Katha Mandankini Shobha Yatra Samiti said that this is going to be the 50th year of the shobha yatra and it will be dedicated to noted environmentalist late Prof Veer Bhadra Mishra.
He further informed that the procession will start after performing Ganga aarti by mahant of Sankat Mochan temple, Dr Vishwambhar Nath Mishra. Prior to this a bhajan recital programme by Bharat Vikas Parishad will also be performed. The tableaux passing from various ghats will culminate at Rajghat where various cultural programmes will be organised. Best three tableaux in the procession will be felicitated. Chairman, Kashi Gomti Samyukt Gramin Bank, SN tripathi will be chief guest on the occasion.
